The upcoming 2008-2009 season features a compact disc release,
Arlen Berlin Gershwin Rodgers and Hart; a second recording in a series focusing on the American Art Song repertoire of I. Berlin and G. Gershwin as well as now adding the compositions of Harold Arlen and Messrs. Rodgers and Hart. Ms. Kerners first compact disc release in the series, Berlin & Gershwin (released in the fall 2001) and her first in this series, was glowingly reviewed by distinguished author and music critic the late Edward Jablonski: Mr. Jablonski wrote (in part): What a lovely, lyrical celebration of American Song beautifully sung, and artfully accompanied... A glorious and rich interpretation of Berlin and Gershwin evergreens, more please!
In this series of recordings, she is accompanied by pianist, author and composer Peter Barbieri.
Highlights of recent seasons have been several noted return and sold out appearances on the Chautauqua Artist Series in Boulder, Colorado. Prior to this highlights have included numerous lieder recitals in Sweden, France, Germany and the United States. Most noted among the performances was a third return to appear on the Atelier Concert Series in Paris, France where she performed a repertoire of G. Gershwin and I. Berlin songs for a sold out, standing room only audience. Return appearances have also included The Crocker Art Museum Concert Series in Sacramento, California.
Watch this site for Ms. Kerners future concert appearances.
